The Green Grocer
The Green Grocer Program was created by the DEGC to have more fresh and healthy food available at retail food locations in Detroit. We're working with local Entrepreneur Karlyta Williams on this program to develop a micro grocery footprint within shops on six to increase healthy food options to the community.
Community Fresh Foods
We will provide the community with fresh and vital food options considering our marketplace and Live6’s broader service area is considered to be a low food access area by the USDA. This area is one of Detroit's most socio economically diverse communities in the City of Detroit, with some of Detroit's highest earning neighborhoods (University District and Palmer Park) adjacent to one of Detroit's lowest earning communities, Fitzgerald.
